Ellie Carter is Britain’s youngest licensed pilot, notably hitting the headlines on her 16th birthday after she became the youngest person in the country to fly solo in a powered aircraft. At 14 she was also the Britain’s youngest solo glider pilot.
But Ellie is not only an accomplished pilot, holding a PPL with Tailwheel endorsement, she is a great ambassador for STEM promotion and for mentoring other young people.
Ellie was presented with the Hilda Hewlett Trophy by the British Women Pilots’ Association for her work in 2019 and it is clear after spending a little time with her, you can see her ambition, dedication and passion for aviation shine through.
