Dave Homewood, the producer of the ‘Wings Over New Zealand Show’ podcast joins us and we find out how his interest in aviation led to one of the most comprehensive historical records of aviation in the Southern Hemisphere.
With some of the best warbird restorations in the world, we ask Dave how New Zealand seems to break all the rules on its size and impact in the aviation sector. In particular, we focus on his work recording interviews with aviation people and veterans across New Zealand plus both British and other Commonwealth stories from World War Two and beyond. We cover many aspects including amazing interviews with the well-decorated Squadron Leader Les Munro, CNZM, DSO, QSO, DFC right through to ‘top dressing’. You may also be surprised to hear what Dave’s favourite aircraft is!
